Teri Kennedy has worked at academic institutions since 1969 when she got her first office position in a steno pool at Princeton University.  She moved through the ranks at Princeton, working in a variety of offices there, including Personnel, Asian Studies, the Registrar's Office, and the Office of the Legal Counsel.   Finally, she spent her last years at Princeton, before moving to Arizona, in Astrophysical Sciences.

Arriving in Phoenix in 1979 with her husband and two young daughters, she sought a position at Arizona State University in the English Education department as assistant to the late Dr. Robert Shafer.  Teri worked in English Education for eight years, full time, as she attended ASU for a degree in Art History.  After graduation in 1987, she left ASU to become a general manager for a new company dealing with pet food distribution.  However, she missed the academic setting and returned to ASU securing a position as administrative assistant to the dean in the College of Education in 1989.  Teri remained in the College of Education and assisted six deans until 2006.  She also continued with advanced studies in ASU's top rated Museum Studies program and received her certification in Museum Studies after completing her internship at ASU's art museum in 1995.  Teri worked with Eugene Garcia when he was selected as dean of the College of Education from 2002-06.  In 2006 Dr. Garcia left the deanship to become Vice President for Education Partnerships and Teri also moved to become Assistant to the VP in the Office for Education Partnerships.  Teri has been at Arizona State University for 27 years.
