Noreen Balos’ professional experience spans across three industries:  military, non-profit, and higher education.  She served on active duty as an Air Force officer and meteorologist forecasting for pilots.  Her assignments included travel within the US, Europe, and Middle East.  After active duty military, she transitioned to the non-profit sector primarily in program development and coordination for youth and teen programs.  Additionally, her marketing and recruitment experience came as a high school recruiter for Air Force officer programs and high school recruiter for university teacher preparation & teaching certification programs.  Outside of her paid positions, Noreen’s volunteer work included various after school program volunteering, one-one mentoring of a teen, and chairing the San Francisco Mentoring Coalition.  She has donated charitably to Bay Area Wilderness Training (BAWT), World Pulse, and Youth Speaks as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Her previous position at Arizona State University following graduate work was Partnership Administrator for Veterans Services where she was involved in networking, collaboration building, and strategizing between university leaders, government, state, and city representatives to promote and improve educational services to veterans.  Her recent entrepreneurial endeavors include opening up a small private corporation focused on business and project management.  Currently she serves as Program Coordinator, Sr. at the Office of the Vice President for Education Partnerships where she is involved in the goals of teacher development and outreach to students, schools, and families.

Noreen completed her B.S. Meteorology and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
